5 Packing Tips for Attending a Destination Wedding

Sun, sand and sea – what could be more romantic than a destination wedding? Both weddings and holidays are events to look forward to, so combining them is sure to up the ante.

If you’re lucky enough to be jet setting off to see a friend or family member get married, you may be wondering what to pack. Before you get started, make a list of everything you need so you don’t go overboard with items then follow our five tips to make sure this trip gets off to the best start possible.

1) Don’t overlook the small things

With all the excitement that comes with packing for a holiday, it’s easy to go all in planning outfits and forget the basics. Many couples prefer this as it’s easy for them to take back and they can spend it on whatever they wish, although you could always give them the gift before or after you jet off if you prefer.

4) Appropriate footwear

As nice as it is to wear your most impressive heels to a wedding, it simply isn’t practical if it’s on a beach. You’ll find yourself stumbling around, falling or just being uncomfortable. Choose a pair of flats that are formal and functional; destination wedding wear is usually more casual than your standard ceremony, but do make sure they fit in with the general theme.
