“Haute Couture”
Italy’s diverse coastline has many outstanding seaside wedding locations. Often what initially springs to mind is the Amalfi coast, with its villages clinging to the cliff-face, the most famous of these being Sorrento overlooking the bay of Naples. But Beach Weddings in Tuscany are becoming increasingly popular.
However, if you are longing to get married quite literally “on the beach” then the northern coast of Tuscany offers amazing stretches of golden sand. This exclusive location is the perfect setting for a unique wedding.
Katy and Tony did exactly that when they married in a *ceremony on a hot day in June on the private beach of the Bagno Annetta Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi, Versilia, Tuscany. Appetizers were served around the pool and then all moved to the gazebos on the beach for dinner and speeches.
Their wedding was organised with the help of Ilaria from Glam Events in Tuscany and captured by Facibeni Fotografia, who have kindly provided the following advice on having a beach wedding in Italy and share their expert tips on beach wedding photography.
The Key Elements
For worldly and chic wedding photos: the sea, a golden beach and a bride’s white dress are three elements that can make a wedding photo book unique and original.
Best time of Year
May and September are perfect for this kind of ceremony. It’d be best if the wedding took place in the late afternoon so that you can use the romantic light of the sunset enlightening the sand and the setting, as well as magical shades that will remain in your wedding pictures.
The Decor
Make it possible to have a gazebo, enriched with white, cream or ivory drapes; include a lot of flower decorations and have lit torches and candles.
The Details
End in an unforgettable way with a fireworks display, this will leave your guests speechless. To watch the fireworks reflecting and dancing on the water will be a magical ending.
