An Elegant American Destination Wedding in Vienna
Having got engaged in Vienna, Britta and Graydon knew it would also be the perfect setting for their wedding and a magical destination that would captivate their guests. They were married on a beautiful summer day in June.
Eighteen of the couples closest family and friends travelled to Austria to share Britta and Graydon’s intimate and stylish day. It was captured by the talented Horia Photography and organised with the help of High Emotion Weddings.

Little personal touches included created by High Emotion Weddings, included a welcome bag full of American goodies for each of their guests and cute name-tag-wedding-favours transformed from Hot Chocolate bars from K. u K. Hofzuckerbäcker DEMEL.
The civil ceremony and cocktail reception took place at Schonbrunn Palace, followed by a couples shoot in the wonderful gardens. This World Cultural Heritage site and former imperial residence includes over 1,400 rooms, with the baroque White & Gold Rooms set aside for wedding ceremonies. These former private rooms of the Habsburg family, make the most impressive venue to say “I DO”.
Matching the gorgeous blush and gold bridesmaids’ dresses, Britta’s bridal bouquet was stunning and in my opinion, the most unique I have seen. It was not only beautiful but full of sentimental value as it was custom made from brooches collected by her mother and grandmother.
In the evening guests arrived at the famed Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant (Michelin-starred restaurant) at Palais Coburg where everyone enjoyed an incredible ten-course dinner.
Built by Prince Ferdinand von Sachsen-Coburg in the mid-1800s, Palais Coburg is now a 5-star luxury hotel, with the motto “You Only Live Once.” The hotel boasts six wine cellars which hold a total of 60,000 bottles, which include rarities from four centuries.
