Cannelle and Yvonnick’s destination wedding in Florence is elegant, romantic, beautiful and full of fun! The couple are from Tahiti and their friends and family travelled from all corners of the globe to attend their wedding. Being native French speakers, Cannelle and Yvonnick’s cinematic wedding trailer is in French but do not worry if you don’t speak French…in this case pictures do speak louder than words!

Planning

As Cannelle and Yvonnick were planning their wedding from afar, it was important to them that they had an exceptional, reliable and flexible team to help them. They chose to work with destination wedding agency WedinItaly who are known for designing bespoke, elegant and luxury weddings and events. Raffaella Alflatt founded WedinItaly with a single purpose; to grant couples their wish of having the perfect destination wedding.

Cinematography

American videographers, Elysium Productions flew in from the states to document the Cannelle and Yvonnick’s destination wedding in Florence. Their philosophy of “bespoke cinematography” is to tell each story in a new light as every couple is different. Their unobtrusive photojournalistic style is key to documenting the day as it unfolds, and the results are quite simply stunning!

Location, Design & Photography

With Cannelle’s father being half Italian, it was her childhood dream to to marry in Italy. From her many trips and attending college in the city, a destination wedding in Florence seemed like the natural choice. The couple chose Villa Il Garofalo, an elegant and ancient mansion with breathtaking views over Florence which was most importantly only 10 minutes from the centre.

To compliment the beautiful setting, the venue was decorated with hundreds of candles and flowers which helped to create an air of romance. The reception dinner was held inside the Villa and then everyone moved to the garden for speeches and cutting the cake. During this time the reception room was magically transformed into a fabulous party room with sofas, a mini dessert bar and party lighting.
