A Heart Warming Winter Wedding.
Kara and Ralph had a beautiful winter wedding in Austria, complete with horse drawn sleigh and a mountain top wedding reception. Their amazing celebration was created by Grenzenlos Events & Lifestyle and superbly captured by Claire Morgan Photography.

The Location
The snowy surrounds of the Tyrolean Mountains, in Kitzbühel, Austria was the incredible setting of Kara and Ralph’s winter wonderland wedding. 60 guests from Ireland and the Isle of Man were treated to the complete winter wedding experience – pristine snow covered landscape, a horse driven carriage, a bonfire to keep the guests cosy, and a magnificent surprise fireworks display.
The Look
Kara wore a stunning bridal gown by British designer Ian Stewart (Paramount collection). Made from silk dupion, the dress had a finely pleated strapless bodice delicately encrusted with Swarovski crystals at the neckline. It dramatically draped into an apron front on the skirt with handmade rosettes embellished with sequins and a cathedral train.
Her hair was pinned up into loose curls with a crystal sidepiece and she finished the look with matching earrings, a simple vale and fur stole, all just perfect for a winter wedding. Kara creatively incorporated her “something blue” into her wedding attire with an absolutely stunning pair Manolo Blahnik shoes.
The Ceremony
When Kara and Ralph decided to get married in Austria, the location of their wedding ceremony was an easy choice. Whilst on holiday as a young girl, Kara had fallen in love with the beautiful Baroque church in St Johann, Kitzbühel. From that day, Kara knew that this special place was where she would one day love to exchange her wedding vows.
The Reception
After a moving ceremony, Kara and Ralph had a romantic horse and sleigh ride before arriving at their reception which was held in the Granders Schupf, a mountain top ski hut located on the St Johann ski slope in the Tyrolean Mountains.
There, their guests enjoyed Austrian hospitality at its best, with scrumptious food, cosy fires, and plenty of festivities and dancing.
Wedding Colours and Design
A pallet of green, white and silver were drawn throughout the design, starting with the beautiful candle light adorning the outside areas, to the table settings and fabulous wedding cake.
As the clock struck midnight, the evening was rounded off by twinkling sparklers and a spectacular fireworks display, complete with a gorgeous glowing heart.
