“Following our first family holiday with our son in the Ionian islands; bursting with culture, beautiful scenery, fresh salty air and the warmth of the sun. We knew instantly that Lefkas was where we wanted to say our vows to each other.

It took us a while to find someone to help us but thankfully we were recommended Claire at Lefkas Weddings. The whole journey was exciting, fun, organised and surprisingly calm. We knew that we wanted a venue with history rather than a beach wedding and Claire sent us numerous ideas and then she mentioned her favourite building was the Library building and it had a large garden that could be perfect for us. We saw the pictures and we truly felt we truly feel this is ‘The One’ it had everything we were looking for.

Our ceremony at the Library was surrounded by beautiful rustic architecture; we choose a civil ceremony with a Christian blessing. That was truly special for us as it was a personal touch from both our upbringings. We had a stunning boat cruise to take us to the ceremony in Lefkada Town as well as back to the reception venue. The food and drinks at NV beach bar were amazing, topped off with the breath-taking backdrop of the sun setting over the mountains. We can’t put in to words how magical it was and we will never ever forget how we felt that day, nor how we feel in Lefkas. We cannot wait to visit for years to come, treasuring this perfect day in our lives. Thank you to everyone that made it a dream come true. ”

The first drink after the ceremony will be the most featured in your photographs, as you receive congratulations from your guests and the photographer circulates. Therefore, make sure to choose something in an elegant glass such as Champagne or a pretty cocktail.
