Occasionally unforeseen situations can and do crop up with the paperwork for a legal wedding abroad.
Accent Events is registered with the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office for the Premium Service for obtaining Apostilles at short notice. Their same day apostille service is very important for those couples who may find themselves in a sticky situation when it comes to the legal process.
If, for any reason an Apostille is required within a very short turnaround – Accent Events is able to obtain this in person from the Foreign Commonwealth & Development office in London rather than using the postal service to the Legalisation Department in Milton Keynes – the postal service has a guideline 3 – 5 day turnaround in normal circumstances, but due to Covid the turnaround of the postal service may take longer than expected and may not be sufficient to meet a given deadline – this is going to depend on each couple’s circumstances.
Expediting the legalisation of a document is mainly for urgent cases – where there is still a small margin of time for the document to be legalised with the Apostille.
Accent Events offer a same day Apostille service as long as:
- Your documentation is received as early as possible the day before traveling to London.
- Payment for the Accent Events Premium Service must be received and cleared by bank transfer at the time of booking the service together with payment for the Apostille(s) as payment is made on-line when booking in the documents.
- Clear instructions to be provided to Accent Events for onward delivery once the Apostille(s) have been legalised.
Pricing:
Accent Administrative fee per document will be dependent upon the number of documents to be legalised for the individual.
Single Document: £85
Two Documents: £60 per document
Above 2 documents :£50 each document
Please note this service is a walk-in service. Documents must be delivered to the FCDO between 0900 and 12.30 a time will be allocated for pick up on the same day before 16.30hrs. It is not possible to request a pick up time. The earlier they are dropped off the earlier the afternoon slot to collect them. It is NOT possible to wait in or near the building while the documents are being processed.
Not Included:
Price of the Premium Apostille – £75 per document (this is paid directly to the FCDO at the time of booking the documents on line).
Train travel to London from Cambridgeshire (return trip).
Important Note:
It is the individual’s responsibility to ensure that the documents to be legalised are in the correct format. There is an online tool that allows you to check which documents can be legalised you can find this here
If your documents have been signed/stamped by a notary please ensure that their signature / stamp is on file at the FCDO. This is very important as if the notary’s details are not on file at the FCDO the documents will not be processed on the same day.
