A Dream Come True.
The eternal city of Rome made a stunning backdrop for Ela & Cenk’s luxurious summer wedding, which was set in the magnificent gardens of the beautiful Villa Aurelia.
Organised by Lisa Torchio Napoli of Noblesse Oblige Eventi, this wedding certainly showcases their work as leaders in the organisation of exclusive weddings all over the world, providing a bespoke service tailored for the individual couple.
Location: Rome, Italy
From: Turkey
Number of guests: 160
Nearest airport: Fiumicino Airport, Rome
The Location
Located on the crest of Janiculum Hill on the outskirts of the Italian capital city, Villa Aurelia commands what can only be described as a simply breathtaking view of Rome. With its origins dating back to c.1660, the Villa was bequeathed to the American Academy in Rome in 1909 and in the last ten years has been sympathetically restored to its former glory.
Ela and Cenk fell in love with the Villa and its impressive eleven acres of cultivated gardens. The couple felt that the variety of outdoor spaces were ideal for hosting an early summer wedding, added to this the Villa’s location from both the centre of Rome and the airport made it easily assessable for their international guests.
The Style
A combination of classical elegance and opulent luxury were a perfect match for Ela and Cenk’s Roman Villa Wedding. A palette of white and pastel hues was used, with roses, hydrangeas and romantic candles being the main focus of the decor design. These choices added to the natural beauty of the stunning Villa and its magnificent gardens.
The couple’s personal style was also in keeping with the wedding design; Ela wore a beautiful bridal gown designed by Oscar de la Renta while Cenk chose a Giorgio Armani suit.
Symbolic Ceremony
Guests were greeted by a welcome desk and provided with individually named fans and a program of the day, they then passed under an arch romantically lit with over two hundred hanging candles each delicately encrusted with Swarovski Crystal tips.
Through the arch, guests arrived in the first garden which was a perfect setting for their Symbolic Wedding Ceremony. A gorgeous three meter bespoke floral wedding arch specially created for the ceremony was adorned with hydrangeas and salmon roses.
Elegant chairs created a frame on the grass where the ceremony took place and were complimented by simple hanging white paper cones containing custom rose petals for use as confetti.
Champagne and Canapés
Following the ceremony, champagne and canapés were served in the second of the beautiful gardens used for the wedding. A custom built seating area with an impressive floral display of two meters tall vases containing hydrangeas and roses, welcomed the guests, while a harpist played in the background.
Dinner and Dancing
The Villa’s “Secret Garden” was third and final space used for the day. Lisa created an extravagant and visually stunning setting for the evening. This included table runners created from hydrangeas, a circular bar with eleven crystal chandeliers and a dance floor.
To the right of the garden a quiet area was set up with antique furniture and the couples “Make a Wish” book. To add to the ambiance of the evening the lighting changed from amber tones during dinner to red and pink for the disco.
After the cake, guests danced the night away in the disco area of the Villa where they were treated to mini burgers and fries. A magnificent view of Rome by night made an amazing natural backdrop from the balcony adjacent to the disco.
The evening finally drew to a close at 4am when guest were taken by pre arranged taxies back to their various hotels in Rome.
A Personal Touch
Silver napkin holders personalised with initials of the couple were given to each of the guests.
