Country Wedding in Slovenia

Beautifully captured by Destination Wedding Photographers Iva & Vedran Weddings, this gorgeous country wedding in Slovenia is full of rustic decor and gorgeous handcrafted elements. Inspired by DIY weddings, Nina designed and created every detail, from the glass bottles with hand-knitted hearts to the tree corner with framed messages and wooden carts.

Alex and Nina’s vision was to create a wedding day that told their story, a day that was totally unique, a reflection of their personalities. With lots of care and love this is exactly what the couple achieved!

From the bride:

“Our love developed slowly, day by day, which was reflected in the tiny signs of attention. After our son was born our lives completely changed and became much more beautiful. We got engaged and after five months decided to get married. It was a really big step for our relationship and the future. At that point we realised that we were starting a new chapter in lives. We wondered at first, what type of wedding we wanted and where we would like it to be. We decided that our wedding day should be simple, like ourselves. We picked the date, and then a venue that reflected our character.

We knew we would invest a great deal of love and effort into every detail because it actually tells the story about us. As a perfect place for the ceremony and celebration, we choose a barn. The most important thing was for it to be beautifully decorated and have a homely atmosphere so our family and friends would feel comfortable.

We cannot fully find the words to describe the emotions on our wedding day. Everything was like a fairy tale, moments that lasted a few seconds made this day memorable for a lifetime. The ambience was breathtaking. On the lawn under the canopy of trees decorated with jute curtains and woven hearts. Steps, smiles, hand holding, and the first kiss as husband and wife, hugs of nice people … We are really grateful.”
