The B.I.T. Band is located in Florence, Italy and one of the Top Bands in Tuscany. They have been performing together since 2004. Specializing in music for weddings and other special events, they have a large repertoire of songs covering a variety of musical genres. All their music is performed live with no pre-recorded backtracks, programmed sequencers, or MP3 support. They rely on their musicianship, professionalism and high energy to produce a memorable event for their audience at every occasion.
All the musicians are Tuscan born except for the vocalist who is Canadian (mother-tongue English) and has been living in Florence for over 25 years. They have performed at over 300 weddings and many high profile private parties such as Mayor Domenici’s wedding (former Mayor of Florence), at fashion designer Gucciardini’s Spring Ball, Ben Lewis’s 60th Birthday party (former chief financial advisor of Goldman Sachs), Peter Arnell’s Wedding (founder of Arnell Group) with guests such as Tina Turner.
Each member of the band has also had years of individual experience performing in popular venues, festivals and concert halls and as session musicians for several Italian and International recording and touring artists such as Raf, Adriano Celentano, Biagio Antonacci, Irene Grandi, Dirotta su Cuba, Noemi, Anna Oxa, Patti Smith and Andrea Bocelli.
Their repertoire covers the classic jazz standards ’20’s – ‘50’s with repertoire sung by Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan up to more contemporary jazz artists such as Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse and Michael Bublé. Their dance music covers Motown, Soul, music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as well as contemporary artists such as Adele, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Jess Glynne and Coldplay.

Mary & the B.I.T Band – Hot Tips
Be sure to find a band that suits not only what YOU like but what YOUR GUESTS like. After all, they are your guests and as such, you want EVERYONE to have a good time. There are usually people of every age at weddings so be sure to find a band who has quite a large range of repertoire to suit all age groups and styles.
Always ask for demos and/or videos of your band. Unfortunately, there are a few wedding bands here in Italy that play over or even worse…fake over midi/karaoke or mp3 tracks. We perform live from the beginning to the end. We are professionals and expect nothing but the best from each other as we expect our clients do…and in the end you really CAN hear the difference. Another plus in hiring our band is that I speak English. There is nothing worse than hearing one of your favourite songs sung in someone’s “interpretation of English”… (to put it nicely!) I think that is why we are so highly requested especially by “anglo couples”– being mother-tongue English and also singing in various languages (Italian, Spanish, French and German) does have its advantages!
SIAE is a music license that is required whether you have live music or a DJ and it is up to either the wedding planner or the villa/castle to get this for you. Cost depends on the region, city, location, amount of guests. The people responsible for getting this license for you will be able to provide you this information.

If anyone is having a wedding in Tuscany and looking for a band you must book Mary Loscerbo and her band. They are incredible and truly made our day last Saturday so special.
They played a solid two hour set and our only regret is that we didn’t ask them to play for longer.
They have astonishing energy, a brilliant repertoire of songs, and Mary Loscerbo has a truly amazing voice. When their set ended, and they handed over to the DJ, that the entire dancefloor literally got down onto their knees and begged them to play more!!
They made our party absolutely AWESOME and we loved them! We cannot recommend Bit Band enough. They will make any party AMAZING!!!!
