An Intimate Wedding in Historic Prague.
Vicky and Kevin’s intimate Prague wedding centred around family and tradition, with Vicky’s 91 year old grandmother making the journey to celebrate their union. Natalie Dlouha from White-Prague Wedding Agency helped Vicky and Kevin organise their special day which was captured so beautifully by destination wedding photographer Claire Morgan.

Wedding Style
The historic centre of Prague with its stunning architecture and medieval lanes was a perfect fit for Vicky and Kevin’s modern bohemian style wedding.
An intimate and meaningful day was created by combining both their Canadian and Chinese heritages. Celebrations began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, followed later in the day by a catholic wedding service. Yellow was used throughout the design, incorporated in the ranunculus used in Vicky’s bouquet to symbolise her father walking her down the aisle through to the boutonnieres, balloon blessing and simple floral table arrangements.
Vicky started the day in an elegant Qipao Chinese dress made in Hong Kong, finishing her look with an Agatha Paris pearl necklace, earrings by Mikimoto and a pair of gorgeous Badgley Mischka shoes. Vicky’s hair was stunning, swept up in a classic bun with braids trailed around one side.
Religious Ceremony
Following the mornings tea ceremony, Vicky and Kevin had a catholic wedding service in the beautiful Basilica of St. Peter and Paul at Vysehrad. This magnificent building was originally founded in the second half of the 11th century by the first Bohemian King Vratislav II as a part of his new residence.
Vicky looked breathtaking in an exquisite Vera Wang gown from the White collection. This beautiful dress made of taffeta and tulle had an asymmetrically strapless draped bodice and modern cathedral-length train. Vicky personalised her dress with a black sash and paired this with a gorgeous pair of Vera Wang shoes also from the White collection. Two small flowers were fixed in her hair and a simple vale complimented her classical look. The finishing touch was a striking glass bead necklace by Scent.
Wedding Reception
An evening dinner was held at Prague’s premier restaurant, the Bellevue. The restaurant not only serves superb food but also has a wonderful view of the Charles Bridge across to Prague Castle, an absolutely perfect backdrop for a magical evening!
